I'm already a performing arts teacher. What do I need to add?

More than you might think you're missing, and less than you might fear. Your movement vocabulary, musical fluency, cultural literacy, teaching presence, and existing community standing all count for a great deal — none of that goes to waste.

What's specifically missing is the fitness-side formation:

  • Exercise to Music Level 2 qualification (anatomy, physiology, injury prevention)

  • CPR and First Aid

  • Insurance valid for fitness instruction (your existing performance insurance won't cover this)

  • The CEAT methodology, assessed during Pungra certification

  • A DBS check, if applicable

Many performing arts teachers complete this pathway faster than instructors starting from scratch, precisely because the cultural and movement foundations are already there.
